Rentokil Initial Kuching Branch Integration

KUCHING: Rentokil Initial (M) Sdn Bhd (Rentokil Initial), an established pest control and hygiene services provider, is aggressively working towards better engagement with its staff and customers alike.
According to its managing director Carol Lam, such an objective would remain as the company’s key agenda over the next few years. “We want to move forward – no doubt about that – given our strong presence in Malaysia."
Right now, Rentokil Initial has over 24 branches operating throughout the nation, including three in Kuching and three others in Kota Kinabalu,” she told The Borneo Post after launching of the company’s new offices, comprising its Rentokil Pest Control and Initial Hygiene divisions, at Kuching Town Land District (KTLD) off Padungan Road here yesterday.
Prior to the relocation, both Rentokil Pest Control Kuching and Initial Hygiene Kuching offices were operating at different blocks within the same KTLD for the past 20 years.
“With the launch today, both branches in Kuching are finally operating next to each other at the most strategic location, which is just behind Hock Lee Centre with our block facing the Riverine. The objective of this relocation is to enable greater support of team work and collaboration of our expertise in pest control and hygiene services,” enthused Lam.
Held also in conjunction with the launching of these new branches, Rentokil Initial had unveiled its new corporate logo.
“This move will integrate our brands and provide an impetus for Rentokil Initial business commitment to continuously deliver added value services to our customers,” the managing director added.
With a staff power of more than 1,000 employees in the country, Lam stressed that focused engagements with its workforce was vital in creating the synergy within the company; thus, enabling these human talents to engage more efficiently with clients.
“We want to grow and expand, but not necessarily in numbers of branches that we have throughout Malaysia, which I believe we have strong presence in every state. Rather, we strive to expand on our services capacity, in line with our aspiration to become the centre of excellence in the Asia Pacific within the Rentokil Initial Group,” she underlined.
Since its establishment as the country’s unit of the global UK-based parent Rentokil Initial Group in 1967, the company had maintained its strong position as the key player within the pest control and hygiene services market segment. It had gained acclaim as the nation’s market leader in pest control category for three consecutive year since 2004, as recognised by Superbrands Malaysia.
Nevertheless, the effort would not stop at just that, Lam pointed out.
“Since the start of August, we have been conducting nationwide roadshows, starting from Penang, where we are practising our staff-customer engagement mission. Up to Kuching as our second last leg before going off to Kota Kinabalu, we have seen encouraging response from participants and visitors alike.
“Therefore, I’m glad to say that we will continue on this mission going forward,” she said.
