Initial Air Steriliser
Initial Air Steriliser – Medixair, uses Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI) technology as the solution to aerobiological infection. Ultraviolet light occurs naturally in sunlight and may be divided by wavelength into three bands, A, B and C. Of these, UVC is the shortest and most powerful. At the specific wavelength of 253.7nm it is proven too deadly to viruses, bacteria and moulds. Air sterilisation using Initial Air Steriliser kills 99.99% of each target organism over a 24 hour period in which UVC light disrupts the DNA so that cell reproduction cannot take place, killing the organism.
The UVC in the Initial Air Steriliser produces 23,000µW sec/cm2 of energy that can sterilise 25m3 of air per hour.
