Rentokil Initial Malaysia continues to take part in the fight against cancer by participating as a team in Terry Fox Run 2013, Kuala Lumpur. Rentokil Initial Malaysia has been joining the run for four years.
The participation in this remarkable run was in conjunction with Rentokil Initial Malaysia’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) theme of ‘Giving Back’. More than 140 employees from Head Office and Klang Valley branches dedicated their time in supporting the good cause. Total participant have increased this year compared to the 70 participants back in year 2009.
Rentokil Initial Malaysia also contributed to this charity event through purchasing of the Terry Fox Run t-shirt. The proceeds from Terry Fox Run 2013 will go to the Cancer Research Initiatives Foundation (CARIF) for the continuous research on cancer.
The run not only attracted employees from Rentokil Initial, but also their family members and friends who came to support, and some joined in the 2.5km and 5km routes with the runners.
Managing Director of Rentokil Initial (M) Sdn Bhd, Ms. Carol Lam said, “Corporate Social Responsibility is part of our business commitment. One of the CSR activities is encouraging our employees in good causes like Terry Fox Run 2013.”
The runners from Rentokil Initial at this charity event have also encouraged others by placing a pledge “I am running for Hope” on their T-shirts.
